They will also experience a way of local village life different from other parts of Tibet. The best time to travel to Nyingchi is spring, when all the peach trees blossom in the forest in the valley and turn the entire area in a colorful wonderland. 3 Days Tibet Nyingchi Photo Tour Itinerary Summary

Day 1 Depart from Lhasa(3650m) and reach Nyingchi(3100m). Visit Mila Pass and Basumtso Lake.
Day 2 Nyingchi Highlights: Great Cypress Natural Reserve, Sekyim La Pass, Lunang Forest and View of Mt. Namjagbarwa
Day 3 Departure from Nyingchi or return to Lhasa

What you can expect

Day 1: Lhasa (3650m) to Nyingchi (3100m), 420km. We set out from Lhasa and reach Bayi Town (Nyingchi) by the end of the day. We will drive along the scenic No.318 State Highway and explore several attractions on the way. We will first drive through Mila Pass (5013m) and arrive at Kongpo Gamda town. We then head to Basumtso lake, a holy lake deemed important by Nyingma sect of Tibetan Buddhism. Situated at an altitude of 3500m, it boasts jade-like green water and reflects nearby forests and snow peaks. There is a temple located on the small island in the middle of the lake. The legend has it that people wishing to have children will be blessed with fertility upon a visit to the temple. Overnight in Nyingchi.

Day 2: Nyingchi Highlights: Great Cypress Natural Reserve, Sekyim La Pass, Lunang Forest and View of Mt. Namjagbarwa We first visit the Great Cypress Nature Reserve 15 kilometers southeast of Bayi Town. The impressive king cypress in the reserve is 50 meters tall and 2500 years old. Once we pass Sekyim la Pass (4720m), we will have a glimpse of Mt. Namjagbarwa (7,700m) in the distance. The main peak in the great canyon of Namjagbarwa valley, it is worshipped by Tibetans as the residence of gods. We then encounter the dreamy Lunang Forest, where endless green mountains disappear into the distant clouds. Overnight in Nyingchi.

Day 3: Departure from Nyingchi Airport or return to Lhasa Our guide will transfer you to Nyingchi airport and see you off. If this is your excursion from Lhasa and you wish to return there, we will drive back to Lhasa by the end of the day.
